About THE Otaku Market
Started in August of 2016 THE Otaku Market, initially known as Otaku Republic, started in the dining room of my apartment as an eBay store. This was just a side business from my day job of delivering for Pizza Hut but over time grew and I attended my first convention, Ikasucon, in Fort Wayne, IN in July of 2017. In June of 2019 I said goodbye to Pizza Hut and took the leap to make this company a full time commitment. By the end of 2024 we have attended 145 conventions and continue to hit the road giving fellow weebs and otaku things they didn’t know they wanted. This website is the continued dedication to be an outlet for those wanting things that they can enjoy 🙂
